Summary:
The Showroom Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, including achieving sales and profit objectives, implementing and executing all company policies and procedures according to all applicable laws. To learn more about us, visit our website at www.1800mattress.com/
Essential duties and responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SALES:
•Co-design and execute the Sales Strategy, Scheduling, Productivity Analysis, Training Activity, Visual, and Merchandising with the District Manager on daily basis
•Manage selling and customer service activities in the store. Monitors staff performance to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction.
•Develops and executes methods to increase store sales products, concentrating in AVG Ticket, closing Return, and Add-on sales.
•Attends meetings and training when required and contributes to company strategy.
SERVICE
•Implements company policies regarding job safety, harassment and equal opportunity in order to maintain a safe and comfortable working environment for all associates and customers.
•Ensures that all associates always provide outstanding customer service. Resolves all customers’ concerns and answers all questions in a professional manner with empathy and interest.
•Ensures the showroom is open for regularly scheduled hours.
•Responsible for the accurate representation of all pricing and customer charges.
•Addresses customer and employee complaints and resolves problems positively and timely.
FINANCE:
•Performs inventory counts, reconciles cash with sales receipts, keeps operating records, prepares daily record of transactions for finance.
•Manage costs and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the showroom.
•Reports on sales, costs and business performance according to company requirements.
•Prepare invoices, balance sales and receipts and perform routine accounting functions.
•Generates accurate reporting of all sales, cash, check or credit transactions.
SHOWROOM MAINTENANCE:
•Supports health and safety, security, and emergency systems according to company policy and relevant law.
•Performs or delegates regular light maintenance such as vacuuming, dusting and arranges for pillows /mattress covers to be cleaned to ensure that the showroom is always kept to the highest standards of housekeeping and appearance.
•Implements all promotional and visual strategies in alliance with corporate direction.
•Responsible for the completion of all merchandising directions to include pricing and tagging.
•Assures that beds are placed safely on frames.
•Keeps isles free of any items that would obstruct traffic and customer flow.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
