We are currently looking for a great Shipper/Quality Control person to join our team. Compensation is $12-12.50/hr doe. Responsibilites include:
1. Quality control review on each piece of jewelry that we handcraft.
2. Packing boxes/shipping.
3. Coordinating weekly shipping schedule.
4. Filing/organizing/copying.
5. Answering telephones
6. Maintaining monthly inventory/supplies for shipping department.
7. Filing and light administration duties as needed.
Necessary Background and Qualifications:
1. Shipping/receiving experience a plus.
2. Strong organizational skills, punctuality, ability to meet deadlines.
3. Ability to work at a fast-pace and coordinate weekly delivery schedule.
4. Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in noisy production studio.
5. Enthusiasm for “the team,” and the ability to give and take direction well.
6. Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, UPS Worldship, and FileMaker or other database program.
This job does not require heavy lifting. Most parcels weigh under 2 lbs. Shipping experience is a plus but not mandatory. Enthusiasm, intelligence and ability to remain calm amid occasional chaos is crucial.
