At Tagged, you’ll take part in building the next generation of social networking applications, working with a PHP/Java/Oracle codebase which emphasizes reusable, object-oriented design. Upcoming projects will expand community interaction, user expression and rich content integration on our consumer-facing website. These projects offer the opportunity to work on innovative front-end and back-end web technologies including AJAX/DHTML/Javascript applications, extensive caching tiers and database/app partitioning. Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing high-traffic web applications
- 4+ years in PHP and other web application development
- Experience in key roles at prominent Internet companies, with detailed knowledge about scaling issues and solutions
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge or Oracle (preferred)
- Understanding of object-oriented design
- Deep experience with HTML/CSS/AJAX proficiency (strongly preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to architect, define and lead a project
- BS/MS in Computer Science (preferred)
