Senior UI Designer
The Senior Designer role is a melding of intuitive user interface
design, visual design, and information architecture skills. The Senior UI Designer must be able to utilize their information design skills to construct the UI architect of a product, produce layouts of all screens in a product, and produce visual presentations of user scenarios – that illustrate product functionality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will have very strong user interface design and visual design skills, and equally strong information architecture skills. You should have a solid background in developing interactive broadcast television applications, or web applications with video content. The Senior Designer should also have a background in visual design ranging from creating compelling static screens to television motion graphics
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 5 years experience with senior level design
responsibilities
* Demonstrated experience in designing for Television (or other
video-based environments)
* Excellent interactivity and information design (must have the ability
to conceptualize and articulate best user interface solutions)
* Must be a team player who is willing to accept a full range of
responsibilities and roles
* Experience producing product specifications including screen
layouts, IA, and UI Specs.
* Experience developing user scenarios, as Flash or QuickTime
presentations, that illustrates product functionality
* Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills, including the
ability to communication to internal engineering groups
* Very strong language skills including experience writing on screen
instructional text and presenting ideas persuasively in writing.
* Define long-term user experience strategies.
* Contribute to a culture of innovation and teamwork
* Design Degree (or equivalent experience) strongly desired
Software Skills:
* Mac and PC skills preferred.
* Fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash
* After Effects and/or Final Cut Pro a plus
An online portfolio is required.
