The Senior System Test Engineer will be responsible for activities to ensure complete unit and integration testing of Wind River Workbench Development Suite.
Workbench provides a complete development solution for devices based on VxWorks and Linux. Users have access to a full range of capabilities required for hardware bring-up, platform and system software development, and kernel- and application-level development. It is an industry leading tool suite based on the Eclipse open source project.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure a quality Wind River Workbench based on effective project management, reporting, and effective test coverage
- Work with component testers during planning and execution project phases to ensure effective test coverage
- Improve automated GUI testing strategy and effectiveness
- Initiate process improvements to improve product quality
Requirements:
- 5+ years device software development experience (embedded cross development)
- Experience in Java, C, or C++
- Knowledge of at least one embedded OS (VxWorks or Linux preferred)
- Knowledge of Integrated Development Environments (preferably Eclipse)
- Experience in GUI and command line test automation
- Experience testing complex software projects
- Able to work independently, and as a part of a distributed team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of industry standard quality metrics
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
