Senior Software Engineer,
Transaction Impact Monitor (TIM)
Palo Alto, California
Responsibilities
•Creating and improving architecture, design and code
•Creating new features and extensions to TIM (Transaction Impact Monitor) product
•Participating in developing, enhancing a scalable real-time traffic monitor written in C++, must have a keen sense of performance and scalable characteristics of system software
•Building high quality TIM software by building, testability into the product and building unit test, sustain in market releases, by creating patches and provide input into the architecture and integration into the Wily Interscope platform
•Broad base of technical expertise in networking, security, multi-processor systems, multi-threading, concurrency, web services and applications
•Proven and proficient skills C++, JAVA, TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP, XML, Linux, Shell Scripts, Python, Apache and OpenSSL
Requirements
•Minimum 12 years of software industry experience and at least 10 releases of high quality software products
•Passionate, creative, and independent, with high integrity for software engineering
•Extensive experience and understanding of large complex software systems and strong analytical skills to isolate, reproduce defects; asses risk and understand varied customer deployments
•Pleasant personality, with excellent verbal and written communications skills
•BS in Computer Science, MS a big plus
