Project: Point-Of-Sale.

- Point-Of-Sale application is one of the sole retail application used in apple store across the globe, for sales.
- Actively involved in all business releases and functional releases as scheduled by apple business team.

- My Responsibility was to ensure the development process meets the business needs and improve performance.

- POS application was implemented based on ARTS standard followed by 360 commerce JAVA framework, with apple’s proprietary JAVA Application Server.

POS is a three tier based architecture with front-end application in swing based on 360 commerce framework. Apple proprietary java based middle-tier server. Oracle PL/SQL blocks for back-end.
POS system interface with other retail applications and inventory systems through SAP.
Uses vitria as one of the interfacing systems and other apple proprietary EAI interfaces.
Item feed , customer information and other external system data are interface by XML and queue based architecture implemented with apple’s standards.
