We’re looking for a highly motivated team leader with ambition to excel in developing flexible solutions with shortest release to market. The successful candidate is creative, pro-active, results-driven and an exceptional communicator with strong analytical and conceptual skills.
This person will be responsible for designing and developing fault tolerant mobile solutions for cutting edge mobile products. The candidate will take ownership of a component and/or products and make it their own. The candidate is also responsible for mentoring junior software engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in driving the technical direction of our product implementation.
- Participate in research for creating new product lines.
- Translate requirements and technology trends into software roadmaps and architectures to serve the needs of the mobile enterprise and consumers.
- Create design specification documents defining the roles and responsibilities of hierarchies of Java and C++ objects throughout the range of Consilient products.
- Write robust code to develop solid products for the Consilient product line.
- Provide leadership with respect to coding practices and unit testing to project teams
Required skills:
- 4 to 6 years experience as an architect and team lead for commercial Java applications
- Extensive hands-on experience with OO languages such as Java and/or C++
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in designing and developing product specifications
- Deep understanding of algorithms, design patterns and data structures
- Proficient in performance tuning and building scalable products
- B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (M.S. preferred)
Preferred skills:
- Experience in mobile technologies as Symbian, Java, Palm, or PPC
- Experience with JUnit or J2MEUnit.
