KeepMedia (www.keepmedia.com) is an exciting early-stage company making advancements in Web-based search, personalization, and community for news and magazine content. Founded by Louis Borders, who also founded Borders Books (the first book and music superstore chain), KeepMedia currently hosts content from more than 300 publications. Until now, consumers have not been able to search archived and current articles from leading publications in one convenient location on the Web.
Responsibilities
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager, who will be responsible for defining and documenting requirements for upcoming product features. This person will be a key resource within the product management team. This is a hands-on role. Key responsibilities include:
•Provide documentation describing in detail the requirements for new product features
•Provide program management for product releases
•Work closely with engineering to understand technical implementation and impact
•Participate in strategic product planning
•Work closely with customer advocates within company to ensure product plans are aligned with customer and market research
Qualifications
•5+ years of software/Internet experience specifically in a product management role
•Strong project management and organization skills
•Experience with software development lifecycles
•Strong technical background, with a Computer Science or Engineering degree or technical work experience a strong plus
•Specific experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly desired: working with community software such as forums or blogging, providing content services to media publishers (e.g. content hosting, content delivery), working with advertiser networks (SEM, SEO), working with a content management system, or working with rich media (audio and video).
