Senior Producer
The Senior Producer leads the digital media production team and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production of articles, video assets, interactive media, mobile applications and special projects.
Moreover, the Senior Producer will work directly with the program management office and engineering teams on digital media product development initiatives, both backend and customer facing. Accordingly, the Senior Producer will document the business and technology requirements of the digital media team and help shepherd projects from pre-development research through documentation and implementation.
The Senior Producer is responsible for tracking all relevant metrics, creating a variety of key reports for business planning purposes and for developing and maintaining the documentation of policies, guidelines, styles and the production process.
The Senior Producer reports to the Director, Digital Media.
Required skills:
• Proven team management skills
• Strong project management skills
• Experience working with large scale websites, multi-brand environments and enterprise content management systems
• Ability to oversee production of content and images with an eye for overall site standards and design consistency
• Experience with rich media production, especially digital video
• Working knowledge of stylesheet (CSS), XHTML and XML
• Proficiency with HTML
• Experience analyzing key metrics and developing same into actionable reports
• Ability and willingness to actively mentor and assist other staff members on technical issues
• Strong communication skills, ability to translate between technical jargon and plain English
Preferred skills:
• Strong experience in Web design and usability
• Thorough understanding of information architecture
• Strong experience with developing content for new media formats, like RSS and mobile
Background:
• 5-6 years Web content production experience with an e-commerce, consumer, or b2b website.
• 2-3 years managing technical production or project management with same environment
