Senior MAP Administrator / Portfolio Associate
Summary:
This position is a key role supporting the MAP program in the portfolio construction step of the investment organization (e.g. including PM’s, traders, operations, etc).
Responsibilities:
Support the portfolio management effort for RCM managed account programs.
Generate trade lists as a result of new/terminated accounts, cash flows and rebalancing activities.
Update and maintain accuracy of model portfolios in different internal systems.
Monitor cash balances for all accounts, alert for any overdrawn or significant deviation. Perform daily cash and position reconciliations between internal records and sponsor records; work with sponsor to resolve any issues.
Facilitate the opening and closing of client accounts and sponsor relationships.
Facilitate client contributions and withdrawals.
Perform analysis of tax implications resulting from rebalance activities.
Produce daily and periodic portfolio management and client service group report. Produce Assets Under Management (AUM) and GIPS – compliant performance reports.
Maintain departmental data base for sponsor information, inflows/outflows, new and terminated accounts.
Generate trade lists as a result of new/terminated accounts, cash flows and rebalancing activities.
Coordinate business process with our new and exiting clients, Legal, Operations, Portfolio Management, Marketing and Compliance.
Generate, analyze and report performance data for all MAP sponsors.
Maintain and analyze performance data following GIPS standards/guidelines.
Coordinate and provide support for annual firm wide GIPS performance audit.
Coordinate department meetings.
Ability to recognize, monitor and report significant issues to senior management.
Develop, maintain and document departmental procedures, as well as, analyze current workflows and make improvements.
Train other staff members.
Attend and participate in sponsor visits.
Produce aggregated and non-aggregated holdings reports for our proxy voting agents.
Various projects as assigned.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 2 - 3 years in an investment management or brokerage environment.
Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Willingness to participate in CFA program preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Security APL or other wrap administration systems a plus.
Possess the ability to assist in the management of a broad spectrum of responsibilities.
Strong working knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-Access. Must possess the ability to learn new applications quickly.
Must be detail oriented.
Goal oriented with intention of going into investment management career preferred.
Ability to work under pressure and ability to multi-task.
