Responsible for managing multiple large projects using the new Express Methodology. Managed a geographically dispersed team.

Safeway Inc 2001- 2004
Responsible for the implementations of multiple IT applications with 30 direct management reports. Oversaw the entire SDLC but focused on improving the following areas; testing, QA, user training, support group training, documentation, scheduling, and deploying.

•Implemented applications resulting in labor savings of $40 million.
•Instrumental in transitioning their “home grown” development approach into a software engineering approach using “Unified Process” methodology (RUP).

MetroIS 1999-2001
Worked as an independent contractor doing business development and project management for the following three clients for MetroIS. The three projects were completed by the targeted dates and within the projected budgets with referenceable clients.

PacifiCare
•Completed a Web Site application for customers to review the qualifications of doctors for potential visits. Done using Java, JSP and Informix.
Sony Pictures Entertainment
•Completed a Web Site application for managing and tracking budgets and actual costs for their international film division. Application saved Sony $3 million/year.
Electricfood.Com (a subsidiary of HyVee grocery store chain)
•Completed a Web Site to sell specialty foods online. This web site was integrated into the HyVee.com web site.

EDS 1998 – 1999
Provided IT professional services at the following client sites:
Universal Studios
Took over a Y2k project where the client was very dissatisfied with the progress of the project and the performance of EDS. The project was a fixed bid and EDS was losing money.

•Project was completed and EDS was the first vendor at Universal with Y2k code in production.
•Universal Studios became a reference.
•Project became profitable.

Safeway
Responsible for managing an outsource agreement which included maintenance of existing applications and data center operations.
Accomplishments
•Sold Safeway on a $7 million contract renewal.
•Safeway signed $1.5 million in incremental revenue for additional projects.

•Achieved zero percent turnover of staff during this engagement.
