Senior Content Manager
In-house, contract position (4 months)
PayPal is seeking a Senior Content Manager with a strong background in web content and the ability to write concisely and effectively while still conveying voice and strategy. This position is for a 4-month contract that may be extended, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time position. A Senior Content Manager is expected to become well-versed in their subject matter expert, to execute quickly and efficiently, to work closely with cross-functional team members to produce smart, effective online content such as technical overviews, procedures and comparisons, and to develop a thorough understanding of PayPal processes. The successful candidate will function as a supporting writer for PayPal Global Content’s Trust and Safety team.
Responsibilities: - Consistently write content within the Style Guide rules and PayPal voice that meets defined project objectives
- Proactively address all international, legal, and 3rd party issues relating to the project
- Effectively interact and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Articulate placement and design issues and work closely with UI Design
- Find global solutions and anticipate common issues
- Support Lead Content Managers as necessary, and have limited responsibility for leading smaller projects
Requirements: Must be a fast self-starter with excellent oral, written, and editing skills - Ability to develop content that supports objectives with minimal direction
- Experience in the B2B e-commerce, financial services, payments, or retail industries
- Minimum 5 years of professional writing experience, with a minimum of 3 years writing web content
- Ability to craft creative solutions to enable a better user experience
- Professionalism in all aspects of daily tasks
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field
