We are a successful 100% employee-owned environmental consulting firm looking for a well-rounded accounting professional to fill our Senior Accountant position. Our ideal candidate is one who has a proven track record in the areas of accounting concepts, financial reporting, accounting systems, payroll, staff relations and the desire to excel. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include month end GL closing activities, support financial reports and analysis, payroll processing (ADP) and assist with annual audits. This person will report directly to the Corporate Controller and have significant interaction with the company’s management team.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
•3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience in a multi-office/multi-discipline organizations. Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
•Payroll-related experience and working knowledge of payroll rules and regulations highly desirable
•Sound judgment, self motivated with influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ability to handle multiple priorities and to set and meet deadlines
•Attention to detail and good problem solving skills
•Ability to develop reports for management use
•Excellent analytical skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and accounting system applications (Deltek experience is preferred but not required)
