Immediate opening for a talented, intelligent, hard-working perfectionist with a sense of humor for a part-time/permanent position in a small woman-owned business.

In addition to being detail oriented and highly organized, the successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

- Typing speed of 65 wpm +
- Experienced with sales/order entry and accounting software
- Skilled at using MS Word, Excel, and ACT
- Ability to create and maintain meticulous files and records
- Energetic approach to the daily workload
- Respond appropriately to shifting priorities
- Inate desire to provide exceptional customer service
- Physical strength sufficient to lift a 45-lb. box

In our very small business, the ability to work independently is just as important as the ability to follow directions.

We make saddles in England, and distribute them from our Oakland/Alameda warehouse. You will be responsible for:

- Day to day paperwork and administration of the business
- Assist Owner with faxing, making travel arrangements, handling special projects of all sorts including property management
- Receiving and shelving incoming inventory
- Packing and shipping outgoing orders
- Errands as necessary

Hours: Flexible: 5 hours/day 5 days a week, or 6 hours/day 4 days a week to start.
Hourly Rate: Commensurate with experience, in the $15.50 to $21.50/hour range
Benefits: Available once the work week is 30 hours on a regular basis (we would expect to reach 30 hours/ week before the end of 2006).
