Open to everyone and free, the Palo Alto Scrabble Club meets on non-holiday Monday evenings, from 6:00PM to 10:00PM at Boston Market Restaurant, 3375 El Camino Real in Palo Alto.
Come when you want - play as many or as few games as you like. All you need to do is just show up.
It really is free -- we bring the boards, you bring your brain. We just like folks to buy some food so the restaurant doesn't throw us out.
Our players split into two groups: Social and Competitive. The social players play leisurely games without a clock. The competitive players are really serious - they even use clocks to time their games. But if that doesn't describe you you will still find many casual players to have a good time with.
Sometimes, we even have themed contests with chocolate prizes - but it is all just for fun.
