Description Provides customer service and facilities scheduling for the Health Education Center. Assigns classroom space for external and internal clients. Works closely with all groups to establish their needs. Performs secretarial duties including accounts payable functions specific to the department. Performs customer service/facilities scheduling functions.

Skills and Abilities:
• Proficient with word processing applications in a Windows environment highly desired, preferably Microsoft Office, Work 2000, Event Pro and Outlook
• Word processing speed of 30 wpm
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculation and an aptitude for numbers
• Excellent concentration and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and make good decisions
• Must be able to perform all duties in a timely manner

Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) some college preferred
• Two years related experience working in high traffic, people oriented environment

Physical Effort Required:
• Basically deskwork, but daily activities including walking tours of the facility plus walking throughout entire campus to post signs, interact with finance department, to mail rooms and other related areas
• Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, kneel, stand, and walk
• Possess hand and finger dexterity for data entry
• Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word
• Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication
• Light lifting up to 40 pounds
