Summary: This position is responsible for the daily and monthly accounting activities. This is a working manager position.
Reports to the Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
愛econcile bank statements monthly
愚aintain fixed asset ledger and monthly depreciation schedules
嫂ssist with month end close
愛econcile balance sheet accounts and prepare journal entries
嵩omplete monthly sales tax returns
愛eview problematic transactions, find root cause and recommend process changes
嫂ssist with planning and cash forecasting
愛eview standard costs
愛eview ills of materials
愛eview and analyze monthly inventory valuations
嫂ssist with annual NAFTA certificate of origin declaration
感eriodically review compliance with credit terms
嫂ssure accuracy and timeliness of accounting information
嫂ssure GAAP compliance of our financial statements
Qualifications
嵩ertified Public Accountant or accounting degree with at least 3 years of practical experience
廈igh level of professionalism, organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking and self-management
幌xperience with manufacturing operations is preferred
感ractical knowledge of MAS 500 or similar ERP
嫂bility to work as part of a team
幌xperience in or knowledge of the cycling industry is a valuable plus
