The San Jose Jaycees are looking for energetic young people, ages 18-40, who want to CHANGE THEIR WORLD by developing personal skills while serving their community. Make a difference in your community, improve your leadership skills, enjoy opportunities for personal growth, meet great people, and have fun.
The San Jose Jaycees was established in 1931. The primary purpose of the organization is to provide leadership training through community service for its members. The Jaycees run many community projects including their annual Children’s Shopping Spree, Canned Food drives, Easter projects, and other community fundraisers. In between community service activities, we have an active social agenda, including mixers and trainings. We are always interested in volunteers and of course, new members! The Jaycees are an international organization with over 120 countries involved. There are over 30 chapters in California.
Children’s Shopping Spree
Since the 1950’s, the Annual Children’s Christmas Shopping Spree has provided new clothing and a visit from Santa for underprivileged children in San Jose. Each year the San Jose Jaycees work with local school districts and other organizations to provide shoes, jackets, and new school clothing for 40 to 100 school age children.
