Sales Engineer
Description:
Responsible for telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions of a technical nature with corporate clients in order to sell innovative OQO handheld PC products. Will work with sales team to evangelize the product and to support customers in a variety of industries.
Responsibilities:
Support OQO sales staff in presentations and other interactions with corporate accounts
Help understand customer requirements and support customer's assessment of suitability of the product for their targeted usage scenario
Determine and overcome potential technical barriers to sale and help identify solutions to objections
Support customer through any technical issues encountered through process of evaluation or pilot
Post-sales support for large corporate accounts may be required
Work with internal technical support and QA team as technical interface with customer
Enter customer information and detailed records of customer interactions into database / salesforce automation system
Regular communication of status to management
Ability to work in disciplined fashion within unstructured start-up
environment
This role offers potential for growth and leadership as the organization grows. Ability to define processes, help develop our sales engineering model, and potentially grow into a leadership role would be beneficial.
Requirements:
5+ years experience in sales engineering or other relevant role selling, supporting, or developing high technology products for corporations
Broad understanding of PC-related hardware and software, and handheld device technologies in the enterprise, including Windows XP; WLAN and WWAN technologies; remote administration, software deployment, and imaging tools; etc.
Minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent. EE, CS, or other technical degree desirable.

(optional) Experience as sales engineer for PC hardware or handheld device products
(optional) Experience working in IT/MIS inside corporate environment
