We are looking for an experienced sales assistant / service professional who wants to work half to three-quarters time in hard working, yet low key, fun non-corporate office environment in Berkeley near 4th Street. Relaxed dress code, dog(s) at the office every day, spacious and comfortable open office with lots of natural light.
We would like you to be smart, educated, detail oriented, self-motivated, energetic, computer/internet pro, fun and flexible type who likes talking on the phone, working with clients and co-workers, taking assignments to completion, and collaborating in a team environment. The job will evolve over time, but will involve sales and admin assistant skills, willingness to be flexible and join in to help with office-wide tasks, talking with clients in a service role, working with client reports, and supporting two senior investment representatives – one on site and one remote. It would be great if you were series 7 licensed, but not an absolute requirement.
As an investment firm, we specialize in Alternative Investment Strategies for clients who do not want to be dependent on the stock and bond markets for their investment success. This currently means we work with various real estate securities investments, 1031 TIC deals, managed futures and hedge funds, commodity pools, and misc. other strategies which show no or low historic correlation with the stock market. We have all kinds of clients with various levels of net worth, but the key accounts come from a pool of accredited clients located all around the country.
Depending on your needs/requirements, position can include medical coverage (Kaiser), flex schedule, with vacation benefits. Employer funded IRA is possible after three calendar years of service. Possibility for job to expand to full time (not required) as firm grows and/or your skills and fit with the team evolves.
We will be contacting interested people after 4/1/06 and hope to hire someone by 5/1/06. Please send us your resume and a cover letter, with comments on what you are looking for, why you think you could be a good fit and any questions you might have for us about the potential job or our firm.
