Sega, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a Sales Analyst. This role will focus on assessing industry trends to aid in overall company strategy and achieving Sega's sales and financial goals.
Specific Job Duties:
1. Monitor sell-through velocities and inventories by retail customer, and work with regional sales directors and retail analysts to ensure adequate corporate and retail inventory (including allocation) to support consumer demand and minimize lost sales.
2. Manage and maintain syndicated sales databases. Updating on a regular basis, and preparing monthly TRSTS and NPD PC reports.
3. Provide competitive analysis to various groups to make more informed business decisions.
4. Utilize retail forecasts, presell numbers, sales of comparable titles and other industry benchmarks to build product level sales curves and forecast total retail demand, enabling accurate build and launch quantity recommendations for new products.
5. The position works closely with all levels of management and supports the sales effort through the development and distribution of internal and external sales analyses and reports.
6. Forecast catalog sales based on historical data and industry trends.
7. Analyze sales trends at individual retail accounts and across the channel.
8. Prepare sales tools for regional sales directors to use in their presentations to Executives at our key retailers to examine potential profit areas.
9. Respond to internal ad-hoc requests for analyses.
Skills and Abilities:
> College degree required, preferably in business, finance, or economics (MBA is a plus) with high scholastic achievement
> Must be proficient in forecast modeling
> Must have an expert knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
> Experience with retail vendor systems like Retail Link and Partners Online is preferred
> Must be able to thrive in a fast paced and fluid environment
> 2 - 3 years in sales or financial analysis
> Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills
> Previous experience in the video game industry would be preferred
