I am a retired university professor and a native speaker who offers 4 classes of Russian language and Literature for the students of Intermediate and Advanced levels only. My originally developed linguistic and cultural courses have been taught with proven results throughout Russia and the Soviet Union for 18 years: the current classes cover all main linguistic and dialectical patterns of the language. My teaching method always combines linguistic and cultural approaches to the material. By being specialized in presentation of Russian cultural and spiritual traditions by using the linguistic patterns (I published a book and two monographs on the subject) I will take you on a journey throughout great Russian literature, Poetry and Art of 19th and 20th centuries.
I live in Walnut Creek and meet my students for one on one sesions mostly at Berkeley, but in some cases I can work with you at the place of your preference
in case you live in the East Bay.
Rates start from 20$ an hour, each session is 2 hours minimum. Classes are 7 and 9 weeks long.We meet only once a week in an informal environment. All students are provided with Free audio and video materials, books, magazines and on line support. First introductory session is always Free.
