Retail Store Manager
The Heath factory store sells high quality ceramic dinnerware and architectural tile that is manufactured in the same building. The store sells seconds, overstock, and 1st quality dinnerware, has a thriving gift registry business, and serves as a showroom space for tile products. Clientele ranges from interior designers and architects, chefs, design savvy shoppers, out-of-town visitors, and bargain hunters. An important part of our product is the Heath story - a rich tradition of design and craftsmanship, along with a dedication to established pottery techniques and local manufacturing.
The store manager will be responsible for a staff of 3 sales associates and the day to day operations of the retail factory store and direct to customer sales from phone and online orders. This involves scheduling, end-of-day reconciliation, operational policies, staff motivation and goal setting, discipline, and training. Other responsibilities involve leading and organizing factory tours, as well as store organization.
Candidates should have experience in retail sales and management, ideally within the design/art/fashion space. Excitement about our products and company mission is a must. Excellent organizational and planning skills, a great team attitude, customer service, and an ability to work well with people and delegate are a requirement. Responsible self-starters will thrive best in this environment of a rapidly growing and changing company.
