Title response to re:re: lifers

Description You(OP)stated:

(correction)I meant, since MOST Justices are choicers not ALL 7 justices.
Since all 7 justices are prochoicers, there is no need to file for overturn, until someone retires or has an illness and is incompetent.

I stated:

The total number of Justices serving on the Supreme Court is nine, the Chief Justice and eight Associate Justices

You state:
Since all 7 justices are prochoicers

I stated:
whether the President is conservative or liberal has a great bearing on the Court, as it is likely he will nominate either a liberal or conservative, depending on his own preference

(as a side note: please cite your sources as to the leanings (pro-choice) of these seven judges. actually, it is the opposite concern that fuels the Roe V. Wade debate.)

You stated:
the supreme court has the final desision about R Vs W unless another justice has been appointed, by tOne can only be appointed by the president

I stated:
The President does not APPOINT any justice, either the Chief Justice or any assoicate. He NOMINATES a candidate which must be confirmed by the Senate. The Senate may also reject the candidate.

You stated:
I NEVER SAID WE CAN VOTE OFF THE JUSTICES NEVER~!!

I state:
I never claimed you did:

I stated:
We, as a people, cannot vote any Justice off. We can only vote for the President (or other elected officials - such as those sitting in the Senate), and whether the President is conservative or liberal has a great bearing on the Court, as it is likely he will nominate either a liberal or conservative, depending on his own preference. Also more than likely, he will nominate along party lines. Should the Senate be in the majority and along the same party lines, the nomination would, likely, be virtually assured.

You stated:
I SAID PRESIDENT GET THE FINAL CALL WHETHER THE JUSTICE GETS TO STAY.FINAL CALL! \

I stated (once again):
The President does not APPOINT any justice, either the Chief Justice or any assoicate. He NOMINATES a candidate which must be confirmed by the Senate. The Senate may also reject the candidate. These justices serve for life. Either they resign or are impeached. These justices serve for life. Either they resign or are impeached.

you stated:
there is no need to file for overturn, until someone retires or has an illness and is incompetent. "

I stated:
These justices serve for life. Either they resign or are impeached. There has been debate as to the ability of Justices in the past to serve on the Court, due to possible mental impairment as a result of advanced age.

You state:
quit putting words in my mouth.

I state:
No, I have not done that. The quotes I used pertaining to statements of yours were your words.

You stated:
I never said anything about marijuana law, there is NO issue in my statement, and i never asked for your opinion. I answereed your questions

I state:
No, you did not say anything about the marijuana laws. I simply put this out there as an example of how the impact of Roe V. Wade could be, should it be overturned. Nor did you answer my questions for I did not ask any previously.

As far as opinion, if you don't wish a rebuttal, then prehaps you should not post.

You state:
so what if all of a sudden, i bring up other topics such as PETA, OR FTC, or or FBI, OR CIA or something that doesn't have to do w our topic but has something to do w the law, would you like that?

I state:
I have no problem with that. Laws and the Supreme Court actually are the issue.

You stated:
I KNOW HOW the federal law works.

I state:
Your knowledge is obvious

You seem terribly defensive. CAPS denotes screaming in internet text. I am sorry you feel that way. Enuf said.

as ive said before, the supreme court has the final desision about R Vs W unless another justice has been appointed, by tOne can only be appointed by the president, (which you vote for). In this case, you the people will have to vote to whether or not to overturn the decision. Since all 7 justices are prochoicers, there is no need to file for overturn, until someone retires or has an illness and is incompetent.

uhh where did i say we can vote people off? you need to stop adding something or correct me about that i never said unless you can prove WHERE in any of my statements that has to do w what we're discussing. I NEVER SAID WE CAN VOTE OFF THE JUSTICES NEVER~!! I SAID PRESIDENT GET THE FINAL CALL WHETHER THE JUSTICE GETS TO STAY.FINAL CALL! quit putting words in my mouth.

The concern, as of late, is it has become a conservative Court, overturning Roe V. Wade, should it be (and most likely will be) revisited by the Court, thus striking down the current abortion laws.

The test may then become whether Federal will supercede State law. The marijuana issue is a prime example. California has instituted laws (by the vote of the people) legalizing medical marijuana. FEDERAL law does not. Thus, while a person may have a legal medical marijuana card in his possession and be able to grow marijuana legally, the Supreme Court decided Federal law superceded State law and that person could legally be charged with a crime, under Federal law. By the way, Federal laws are much harsher in sentencing and accountability than state laws with regards to marijuana.
-----------------------------------------------
I never said anything about marijuana law, there is NO issue in my statement, and i never asked for your opinion. I KNOW HOW the federal law works.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Most Counties and cities in the state have instructed local law enforcement not to arrest any such person, however, DEA officials may, and in fact, have done so.

same w this, why are you adding examples that i have already answered? I never said anything that has to do w these issues. I answereed your questions, did i ask you anything about anything that has to do w federal cases? NO

so what if all of a sudden, i bring up other topics such as PETA, OR FTC, or or FBI, OR CIA or something that doesn't have to do w our topic but has something to do w the law, would you like that? STICK TO THE MAIN ISSUE. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE FEDERAL LAW AND I KNOW HOW IT WORKS! and quit trying to be a badass. WE VOTE FOR THE PRESIDENT< THE PRESIDENT HAS THE LAST SAY TO WHETHER OR NOT THE JUSTICE SHOULD BE APPOINTED> PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
