Title RERE:Fantastic Pro Tools Studio, Great engineers, mind-boggling prices (mission district)
Category Antiques & Collectables : Old Tools

Description i'm gonna butt in now too...

1) LE may get the same quality as TDM (which i'm not completely sure i believe) but it doesn't get the same quality as HD, which is what was referenced.... it's also not as stable.

2) i agree with

3) the majority of "good" engineers, know better than to try and sell an LE studio built in a house for $30 an hour......... much less, call it custom, just because they stuck up some auralex. there are real studios charging comparable prices, who don't pad their ads with fluff.... i have the almost the exact same setup he does in my house, but i'm not going to claim that it's a pro studio, with "custom elvis bathroom".

it's an insult to the real engineers and real studios.

hi...

i feel the need to reply to what the gentleman below has said about someone else's studio ad.

1.) Protools LE gets the same sound quality as TDM. it just isn't able to use some of the plugins and it is limited to 32 tracks, which in my experience is plenty.

2.)if you want to get technical, what really matters in capturing a good signal is the path it takes. if you run a signal through a quality mic, cable, preamp, and converter, its gonna sound great no matter what DAW software you are using.

3.)If you have talented musicians PLAYING and a good engineer working on your record, you can make it great on a tascam 4-track. don't believe the hype you artists out there. don't get caught up in the buying frenzy. PRACTICE!!!!!!

P.S. if the original poster(the engineer) is talented and professional and he can find people who are willing to pay his price, more power to him.

P.P.S. who cares if there is some studio if florida with similar name? what does that have to do with anything????

C'mon guy, tone it down a bit. You're using Pro Tools LE; dude, it's a toy---not fantastic. Pro Tools HD is not even that fantastic but it's professional. Your price is not "mine-boggling"; $30 is a little high for an LE studio in fact. Great engineers usually have more to show for it than bedroom studio junk. You must be new here. People are not that uninformed anymore. BTW, your name Ocean View sounds a lot like Ocean Vu which is a world class studio in Florida. A professional engineer would know that. I don't think they would appreciate you trading on their name. This is the real Ocean Vu; www.oceanvu.com
