Polimetrix is a venture-funded startup based in Palo Alto, which develops databases, infrastructure, and analytics for politics and survey research.
We are looking for someone to manage interactions between users and developers of our applications. Your job would be to interview our internal user group and develop functional specifications, design user interfaces, and write documentation for Web survey systems, client extranets, online analytics, and other applications. We use agile development methodologies (including test-driven development), so we are looking for light-weight, but disciplined, requirements and documentation.
You should have a good grasp of technical issues, especially relating to databases and Web applications, have strong communication and writing skills, and a intuitive feel for interface design. We use open source tools (Python, PostgreSQL, Trac) and any prior experience with these would be a plus.
