In an effort to improve the amount and quality of service our business unit (BU) clients receive from the Global Direct Marketing Team, a Relationship Management structure is being built to own the interaction with the BU Marketing teams, drive new marketing capabilities and methodologies into the BUs, and own the campaign management process from campaign initiation through analysis.
This position contributes to the success of Yahoo! by helping the BUs to be smarter marketers and allowing them to focus their energies on communicating with their users, rather than figuring out how to get things done within the business.
Description
The Relationship Manager will partner with BUs to identify their specific marketing needs and business objectives, recommend solutions, and ensure their campaigns are implemented to deliver the results they are seeking. The BU Relationship Manager is the main face of Global Direct Marketing to our customers, the BUs. The RM's time is spent relationship building, educating the BUs on new marketing capabilities and best practices, managing campaign planning and execution, ensuring the timely handling of all BU requests, and project managing the campaign analysis process. In addition, The BU Relationship Manager will be expected to develop the broad industry expertise necessary to guide your client through the ever-evolving world of interactive marketing.
Required Skills and Experience
*5 years experience in marketing and advertising, with a particular emphasis on online marketing, direct marketing, and business strategy.
*3 years experience as an agency Account Executive or Account Manager.
*Media planning and strategy skills.
*Candidates must be comfortable interpreting data and analyses.
*Proven experience leading teams of 4+ people is required.
*Adept at communicating in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
*Specific industry (e.g. retail, automotive, travel, financial services) expertise is a plus, but not required.
*A bachelor's degree is required, MBA is a plus.
