You may not like it, but your company has every right to do as they wish with their internet controls. You're sufing on THEIR dime. It's not at all fascist of them to do as they wish with the web access they allow you to use, for work purposes.
Stop whining like some little girl about it.

When chasing down invoices and distributing fill-in forms got too mind-numbingly boring for me, at least I could always browse Rants 'n Raves for a little distraction...after all, it's updated every few minutes and there's always something bizarre or interesting in a train-wreck kind of way...
...But no more. This week my company instituted a software program that blocks "inappropriate" or "offensive" websites, and RNR is one of them. I found a way around it, but it's time-consuming. Somehow it also blocks the housing section (s.o.o.l. if I'm apartment-hunting) and things that could no way ever be considered offensive. So thank you, my dear Fortune 500 Fascists, for making my dreary cubicle existence all the more dull and gray and dismal. I guess that will give me more time to ponder how staggeringly stupid your new corporate slogan is (HOW much did you spend on focus groups to come up with that?) Talk about futility - I can't even read my own rant once it's been published. Fucking petty mind-control fuckers.
