Other nations were not founded by rich, white male land/slave owners who wrote the rules saying they were the only ones allowed to vote.
Though women and minorities can vote now (after struggles for decades), the white rich males have simply given us the illusion of democracy...they are and will always be in charge. Power and greed are the only things they understand.
So while I agree with you that a woman or minority would have a new perspective on things that could lead the nation away from war, a rigged economy, and attempted world takeover, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Unless the general population, Repub, Dem, whatever finally wake up and realise that rich white men do not care about them, we are always going to have a rich white male as president/congress/ any important figure.
They run the shit and they don't care about you or anything that interferes with profit making...PERIOD!
