No, we're upset about an unidentified number of American citizens being wiretapped without a warrant, which makes the wiretapping illegal. Since we are a nation of laws, it only make sense that American citizens would be upset when their own president breaks the law, and then basically brags about doing it, and says he'll continue to do so. If Bush really intended to wiretap Islamofascists, he could have asked for a warrant, and a warrant would surely have been granted. Why didn't he ask for a warrant?

All I know is that Chavez was elected by an overwhelming majority of the people of Venezuela. Around these parts, that's what we call a democratic election. We're supposed to love democracy in America (isn't that why we're in Iraq?), so we should all be pleased with Sr. Chavez. I also know that he's done a lot to help the poverty-stricken majority of Venezuelans by spending some of Venezuela's oil revenues on things like education and land ownership instead of wars of aggression. Why should America be threatened? Why should you be threatened? Have you ever met Hugo Chavez? Weren't you just ragging on liberals for hating people who live in other places and have different beliefs? Here's a fine chance to walk your talk.
