Safeway is just selling the lowest quality at the highest price that they can get away with. Their Organic house brand is absolute crap, just trying to siphon off the market created by the excellent high quality small brands that pioneered the concept.
If you want a Real Organic market, doing try the Good Earth in Fairfax. The Entire store is Organic and the quality of the vegetables and fruit, mostly grown within 50 miles is outstanding. Best way to keep West Marin and Sonoma County from becoming more sprawl is to buy crops grown there.
