I am really displeased with the new Safeway. What happened to the Natural Foods section? I was so excited about all the healthy vegetarian foods that they had in the Natural Foods section and now it's gone. It doesn't appear that they just incorporated the healthy and veggie food in with the rest of the store. Many of the healthy/veggie products are just *gone*. Rumor has it that Whole Foods business has picked up a bit since the demise of the Natural Foods section. I was also hoping for more organic produce with the new remodel.
I have been shopping at Safeway since 1984 (before it expanded into the space that was once Bills Drugs). I had been so excited when they finally got a Natural Foods section and began catering to the vegetarians and health conscious individuals (vegetarians and vegans are so common nowadays). I am really disappointed to see Safeway taking such a big step backwards.
I do like the lighting though and the staff is A+ as always.
