While I don't have a bias against either race, I will say that I find Filipino people to be more warm, accepting, and non-judgemental than many other Asian cultures.
I'm a black woman and I am not ghetto. I attended high school in San Francisco and college in San Jose. My high school was majority Asian, mostly Chinese. As a result of my studies and in my daily life, Filipinas have proven to be the the kindest, most empathetic and cool women I've ever met. They work hard at regular jobs and don't play the class game. As for shopping at Target and buying fake designer bags, good for them! Knowing the value of a dollar means they are smarter than others who are deceived into spending the equivalent of a month's rent on a purse.
Not many other Asians willingly interact with non-white people and treat black people with respect. My best friend is a Filipina who has this wonderful outlook. Other Asians I have met tend to focus on being better than others rather than looking at individual peoples' behavior and attitudes.
Filipino people are cool!
