re: cheap ass parents

It is down right disgusting that some of the parents out here don't believe a highly skilled Nanny deserves to be paid $20.00 an hour caring for two children. I know there are many so called "professional" nannies out there that claim they deserve this amount and do not, however many Nannies do.

They are university educated, and their experience speaks volumes. Yes, being a Nanny is considered a PROFESSION, and Nannies need to make ends meet at home too. You cheap parents out there really need to do your research in terms of the going rate in this area!!I currently work for a family that has two children, and they pay me $20.00 an hour.
They also provide me with a cell phone, gym membership, and sick/vacation days.

They state they feel very lucky to have me. They have respect for the way I care for their children, and therefore treat me with respect and fairness. Which includes the financial end of being my employer.

I cannot believe all these self centered parents coming out here and bitching about paying their children's caregiver a measly $15.00-$20.00 an hour. Of course they still have time and money to pay for all the other fine things in life they want. Hairstylists, Gardeners, Housecleaners, Manicurists, Caterers. I would like to see you offer any of the people that provide you with those services $15.00 an hour for their time and effort!!??

They would tell you to Fuck off in a nice way, and I don't blame any caregiver you try and offer those rates to telling you just that.

this is in or around bay area
