Description Pro Tools LE only shares one thing with Pro Tools HD; the software. That is all. Digidesign made sure there was a clear separation between the two systems. I know because I good friends who work there. Not only that, I have both systems running side by side in my own studio. There is no hype. You cannot honestly say that an HD rig with a 192 i/o is going to sound the same as 002 rig. It's like saying like saying a Mercedes 230 will perform like an SLR. You either have never worked on HD, or have horrible ears, or you're being disingenuous. Take your pick. The previous poster was not attacking Ocean View, he was exposing the lie. It's an opinion shared by other professionals as well. Too many home studios are trying to pass Pro Tools LE off as the professional version. It is a boldface lie. The fact that their name is the same as a real commercial studio located in Florida where Shirkira records, magnifys their lack of integrity. I agree with your assertion about the signal chain, but that is only a small part of the equation. So are your ears. Pro Tools LE is an entry level recording system for songwriters and aspiring producers. It was never designed with professional applications in mind. Pro Tools HD was designed for that purpose. Otherwise, every commercial studio would be using Pro Tools LE, unless you think top professionals are stupid. They would have saved about what, $15,000. People who care about the best sound quality spend the money for it. Pro Tools HD is not really that expensive if you compare the cost to outfit a commercial studio. You and people like you cannot afford to be in the studio business, or you care more about saving a few bucks than delivering the best sound possible. Then you purposely mislead people into thinking you can deliver radio quality CDs. C'mon get real liars.
