Title Pristine 1994 Ford Ranger, 8" Lift with axle conversions - $9900 (concord / pleasant hill / martinez)
Category Cars & Trucks, Etc. : Race & Rod
Created 03/15/06
Description Up for bid is an awesome, custom Ranger 4x4 Live Axle Conversion!

For starters, the body is in absolutely exceptional condition with a mirror finish to the clear coat. All panels are original with only a few chips on the hood from freeway driving. The tailgate was replaced and painted to match as it was stolen shorlty after purchased. I am the original owner with every single receipt and maintenence documentation since purchased new at Fremont Ford, Fremont, CA.

The interior is immaculate without a single tear to the headliner, seats or carpet. The center console is in great shape as is the dash. No dash cracks at all! Everything works. I'll try to summarize all the upgrades starting with the suspension:

1971 Dana 44 Front End : Housing was stripped and powdercoated. Every additional component is brand new including: ARB Diff, 4.56 gears, Spicer axles and universals, heavy duty Warn hubs, all bearings, James Duff knuckles/disk brakes, new studs with 5 x 5.5 spacing. Stainless diff cover with matching powdercoated rock guard. Tie rods are all F250. Four Rancho shocks with RCX onboard air controller. Holding the 8" lift is a Fabritech live axle conversion including radius arms, brackets and panhard rod. Kit utilizes a 6" set of Skyjacker coils. Remote billet breather attached to the core support. All paint on the new parts are in exceptional condition.

Currie 9" : The rear end has a Detroit Locker, 4.56 gears, 35 (yes, 35) spline axles, super heavy duty big bearing Currie housing, Nodular Iron Race Carrier, Explorer Disks, Rancho 9000's, extending stainless brake line, new e-brake brackets and cables, James Duff traction bars, 4" Superlift Springs with 3.5 inch blocks. Currie told me that this axle could handle pushing 1100hp. I'm running a bit less than that!

5 Brand new 35" BFG All-Terrains : (you can still see the nipples on the tires) and 5 15x8 American Racing Baja rims (spare is in the bed.)

Tranny : Factory unit rebuilt about 15K miles ago. Shift kit added. Not a single leak.

Engine : All stock 4.0 V6. Newer A/C, new water pump, all water lines, all ignition components, K&N filter. No leaks whatsoever.

Driveshafts : Rebuilt and balanced. Both are original and did not need modification or replacement with the lift.

Transfer Case : Bone stock, no leaks, no issues. Runs perfectly.
Shell : Snugtop bought about 2 months after I bought the truck. Matching color with tinted glass. Tan cloth interior liner that matches the bed kit. Bed kit is in perfect condition and looks great.

Accessories : James Duff front and rear prerunner bumpers (rear with integrated class 4 hitch, 130W stainless Pro-Comp off-road lights, PIAA driving lights, CD player, PW, PDL, PS, CC, AC, Tilt, all guages, CB and magnet mount antenna, Flowmaster with side exit exhaust, back slider glass with tint, tow strap, how hitch, how hook, garage ceiling mount and harness to remove shell from truck (can be done with only one person.)

This vehicle has some minor wear and tear to be expected with an 11 year old truck. There are some chips on the hood and I believe 1 (yes, 1) door ding. The rear passenger 1/4 panel got bumped about 4 years ago and a chip of paint the size of a quarter came off. I didn't fix it since it was so small and I didn't want to mess with the beautiful factory clearcoat paint. It's one of those things that are probably better off left alone.

Not CJ5, Blazer, Jeep, Cherokee, CJ7, TJ, Rubicon, International, Bronco, 4Runner, 4 Runner, Tacoma, Frontier, Ram, or anything else for that matter!
