Job Title: PR Manager, Annie’s Homegrown/Annie’s Naturals/Fantastic Foods/Consorzio

Location: Napa, CA

Reports to: VP Marketing, Homegrown Naturals

Position Summary:
This person will be the PR Manager for Annie’s Homegrown (www.annies.com), Annie’s Naturals (www.anniesnaturals.com), Fantastic Foods (www.fantasticfoods.com) and Consorzio (www.consorzio.com ). Annie’s is the #1 natural and organic mac and cheese brand, and has recently entered the snack category with crackers and grahams. Annie’s Naturals is the best-selling salad dressing and condiment brand in the Natural channel. Fantastic Foods is a leading natural brand of vegetarian soups, side dishes and entrees. Consorzio is a brand of all natural or organic flavored oils, salad dressings and marinades.

The PR Manager will be responsible for development and execution of the PR plans for each brand, partnering closely with the brand managers in development of the PR strategy for each brand. PR will primarily focus on new products, promotions, grass root/cause and/or event marketing initiatives and when possible underscore the social mission of the brands.

The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, great writer, very organized, has very strong interpersonal skills and a strong foundation of PR experience.

Major Responsibilities: Develop and manage PR plans and activities for all 4 brands as well as parent company (Homegrown Naturals)
· Develop and plan communications/PR activities for the year based upon new products, potential business stories and other stories of interest (anniversaries, consumer trends, etc.)
· Write press releases and other media communications materials and determine mailing lists for new products
· Write press releases, manage media outreach, and track editorial calendars for possible placement of stories about the brands
· Manage internal media database
· Maintain files of media clips, write and distribute monthly press reactions reports
· Research and track industry and consumer trends to identify public relations opportunities for increased public perception and brand awareness.
· Keep brand press kits up-to-date and ready to mail
· Manage PR activities at key trade shows
· Manage PR agency as needed for assistance with key projects
· Develop internal communications based upon key initiatives about which the employees should be aware.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ø 5+ years of PR experience, ideally in consumer packaged goods.
Ø BA required
Ø Strong strategic skills
Ø Budget management skills
Ø Passion for natural and organic products
Ø Creative and innovative thinker
Ø Proactive management style: self-starter, demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and direction.
Ø Excellent organizational skills and ability to develop timelines and meet deadlines. Good at multitasking.
Ø Energetic and level headed, good at problem solving.
Ø Quick study; thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ø Very strong team player, ability to work with cross-functional teams to get results.
