I have played piano and keyboards for more than 20 years
and have taught students of all ages: Elementary (starting at 6 years
old) to Adult. I play and teach music in several styles, including Classical,
Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Pop, R&B / Hip Hop, Broadway, Standards, etc. I
place equal emphasis on reading and ear training, with the aim of musical
absorption in either case. I encourage musical creativity through music
theory, improvisation and exposure to and appreciation of a variety
of styles. I believe in teaching freedom and fun in music.
Styles: Classical, Jazz, Standards, Blues, Gospel, Pop, Pop,
R&B / Hip Hop, Rock, and Broadway
Method: Reading, Playing by Ear, Chords, Harmony, Technique,
Rhythm, Improvisation, how & what to practice, avoidance of injury.
