CKC Engineering, LLC is an engineering consulting company focused on providing services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. We are currently looking for a technician to work in an R&D manufacturing environment for 8 months to one year. Good job performance could lead to future positions. Employee will be working onsite at a major pharmaceutical company in Mountain View.
Job Description:
Technician will perform moderately complex tasks to support research and development activities. The candidate will interact with Process Engineering and Formulation personnel to provide technical support for Product Development including set-up, operation, troubleshooting and dismantling equipment. This includes assisting in experimental, clinical and process validation operations. The technician will bring equipment and facilities issues to the attention of the Supervisor for resolution and provide communication between shifts to ensure smooth and efficient transition of tasks.
Qualifications:
· A high school diploma or equivalent and 4-6 years experience in the pharmaceutical, device or chemical research industry
OR
Associates degree in a life sciences or engineering discipline and 2-4 years experience
· Mechanical aptitude
· Familiarity in handling drug compounds, organic chemicals and solvents
· Experience performing duties in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
· Experience working in a clean room environment
· Must have good oral and written communication skills in English
· Basic computer skills
· Willing to work flexible hours
· Capable of working independently on several tasks simultaneously
· Must have good interpersonal skills needed to interact with personnel from a wide range of disciplines and management levels
· Positive attitude and good work ethic
· Able to lift 35-40 lbs
Compensation:
This job will pay hourly. Rate will be based on applicant’s skills and experience. This position does not offer medical insurance or any other benefits.
