Workshops-
My approach is to provide a multitude of percussion instruments and talk about each instrument, demonstrate proper playing techniques, and traditional rhythms played on the instruments. Participants are involved in a hands on interactive playing experience which is coordinated and provides a great group dynamic. This is great for church groups, classrooms, businesses and corporations, parties, weddings, etc.
This is a great introduction to many types of percussion instruments and ethnic musical styles such as Latin, African, Middle Eastern and Brazilian. Very educational, fun, and entertaining for adults or children.
I would also consider doing this for interested individuals who want to play percussion but are not sure what they want to study yet.
Private lessons-
I will be offering my services as a private drum set or percussion instructor in Santa Cruz area. I can come to your house, school, or place of business for individual lessons (lessons on drum set only for students already owning a drum set. I will not provide a drum set). I prefer to teach percussion in addition to drum set, not strictly drum set lessons.
