We are looking for talented computer consultants who are able to support a variety of Small Business computer environments (mostly Microsoft based). The schedule is flexible and we will increase your hours as you grow with us. You will be responsible for:
• Managing and implementing technology projects, including server applications, router configurations, upgrades, installs and printers as well as implementing LAN and WAN connectivity. Maintenance and trouble shooting of routers, switches, computers and printers.
• Performing routine maintenance including installing firewall and network monitoring, establishing backup routines and back up systems, and keeping clients current with Windows technology, updates, patches and fixes.
• Creating detailed and complete documentation of each day’s work including hardware upgrades as well as root causes and frequent common problems and recommendations of solutions.
• Fielding phone calls from clients, answering their questions and identifying their needs. This includes researching the client’s problems and developing a solution that meets both the client and the system requirements.
Our ideal candidate will work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment, have the patience to coordinate with other consultants and internet providers, and the wisdom to identify future opportunities with existing customers. He or she will have good oral and written communication skills. Our ideal candidate also needs a car and a working knowledge of:
• Computer OS including Win98, 2000, XP and DOS.
• Antivirus, Anti-Malware, Anti-Spyware, backups and networking connectivity
• Networking OS including Windows NT, 2000 and 2003 Server Edition, TCP/IP, Netbeui and IPX
• Configuration of domains, PDC, BDC, and Active Directory Services.
• Industry standards software such as Backup Exec, PC Anywhere, GoToMyPc, Connected.com and Microsoft Office.
