Established in 1973, InnVision is Silicon Valley’s leading provider of housing and services to homeless and at-risk families and individuals. Our nonprofit agency provides care to over 16,000 people annually. InnVision staff all share a sensitivity and commitment to homeless, mentally ill, and low-income members of the community.
The ESL Instructor will work in our women's program and teach on-site classes in English as a Second Language with emphasis on health, consumer education, family nutrition, child abuse prevention, alternative discipline methods, and parenting skills. This job requires strong communication skills to engage beginning learners of English. Teaching materials and curriculum are provided by InnVision. Some related experience, work with training adults, or equivalent education is required. Scheduled class hours are Monday through Thursday mornings, with a normal work schedule of approximately 12-15 hours per week, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
