after my recent CL post, i hired an "expert" mold company to inspect the house. among some minor exterior drainage problems, he found moisture in the two bathroom walls and the surrounding flooring. his recommendation is to knock out the wall, get rid of the mold, fix the unknown leak and rebuild. he charges $2500 per day and estimates 2 day's work. then i need to rebuild the bathroom tiles that will be torn down.
*am i being ripped off?
*do i really need to knock down walls to fix the leak and remove mold?
*can anyone recommend contractors for a second opinion?
