The Active Marketing Group is seeking a proficient online advertising sales representative. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of online advertising sales experience and will welcome the responsibility of selling online advertising, database marketing programs, e-products and technology solutions directly related to active.com and eteamz.com, properties of The Active Network. This Advertising Sales Representative will be responsible for all stages of the sales cycle, from cold calling, prospecting, developing customer rapport, through closing and servicing accounts.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Expand account list through prospecting, cold calling, and networking
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key online advertising and media buying agencies
- Assist in the marketing/advertising plan of each new category and advertiser
- Assist in the creative process as it applies to a design of programs for each advertiser based on their needs
- Adhere to all production and operational deadlines and ensure that the team adheres to these processes
- Develop tools and resources to create effective sales presentations
- Monitor market trends and news to gain understanding of outside forces and dynamics that impact advertisers and share insights with staff and upper management
Summary of Qualifications:
Candidates will have at least a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Communications. Experience in selling online advertising programs is a must and relationships with online advertising agencies and clients plus.
Candidates must demonstrate the following: - Ability to quickly understand the Active Consumer market, either through past branding and targeting efforts, or personal interest and participation in sports.
- Ability to think on your feet; high energy, positive attitude and a sense of humor
- Exceptional prospecting skills and strong closing skills
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- The ability and desire to help develop and mold a fast-growing organization.
- Qualities including: tenacity, work ethic, confidence, polish, sense of urgency and a proven track record of success.
