Online Marketing Specialist
Creative Labs has an immediate opening in our Milpitas, CA facility for an Online Marketing Specialist. The Online Marketing Specialist will help manage all internet marketing initiatives, including; email, direct mail, search engine marketing, merchandising, and online advertising. This position will report to the Sr. Internet Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities include:
 Develop email campaigns, including; content, segmentation, and business rules associated with the program. Coordinate cross-functional teams that span direct sales, marcom, and product marketing. Responsible for monthly CLI consolidated newsletter.
 Manage customer relationship database, including; product registration, eCommerce purchases, affiliates, and newsletter subscribers. Use data mining techniques to spearhead customer loyalty programs.
 Manage product merchandising online, including: on-site marketing, cross-sells, featured products, end-of-life transitions, and special promotions. Analyze GUI design, template structure, and content management system API to optimize online merchandising effectiveness. Develop and implement business rules in eCommerce system to support 1:1 merchandising strategies based on user behavior.
 Support Advertising Manager on online media buying, such as CPC keyword buys on major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, etc), and CPC/CPM/CPA buys on ad networks/portals (advertising.com, AOL). Drive development of all digital assets required to support media buys, such as banner ads, SEM copy, and WebTrends tagging.
 Monitor performance of all Internet marketing initiatives, evaluate results, report on progress and provide recommendations for optimization.


Job requirements:
 The successful candidate will have at least 2-4 years experience in email Marketing, plus 1-2 years of SEM.
 Basic knowledge of HTML is required.
 Desire previous experience with an email marketing tool, such as Exact Target, DoubleClick, Responsys, CheetahMail, Email Labs, etc..
 Must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Previous experience with copyediting or creative writing is ideal.
 Must possess strong analytic skills. Knowledge of web analytics package, such as WebTrends, Omniture, HitBox, Coremetrics, is ideal.
 Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or an equivalent field
