We are a local IT consulting company and will be short-handed from May 25 through April 2. I would like someone who can be on-call to back up my existing engineer should we have simultaneous emergencies. If you work out well, we might want to bring you on (though I don't anticipate this need prior to June of 2006) - so this could be a good time to showcase your skills. The need for your skills would likely be only during regular business hours - though it is possible (albeit very unlikely) that after-hours or the weekend could be necessary.
Would like you to have the following skills:
- Windows desktop support (XP and 2000 for sure, older versions is a plus)
- Some comfort level with very basic server troubleshooting
- Good hardware skills
- Great customer service
- Good communication
In terms of possibly bringing you on several months from now, certifications are a plus.
