Description The Berkeley Electronic Press (bepress, http://www.bepress.com) is a
dynamic business changing the face of academic publishing.

We have an opening for a similarly dynamic person who would like to
change the face of bepress. We're looking for someone who is versatile
and would like to take charge running the day to day operations of
our office, and would relish the opportunity to make a mark in a
growing business.

Responsibilities include:
- Basic HR (new employee addition, timesheet management, insurance overview, etc.)
- Office supply management (maintaining inventory)
- Vendor relations (ordering, setting up new vendors, etc.)
- Maintain existing and document new office procedures
- Manage subscriptions to our journals, using in-house web tools
- Light bookkeeping (prepare deposits, process credit cards)
- Filing
- Small errands

Opportunities include :
- Work with technical staff to design and implement streamlined office procedures
- Expand and learn new computer skills
- Expand responsibilities as bepress grows

Job requirements include:
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, Web
browsers (IE, Firefox). Experience with FileMaker Pro is a strong plus.
- Ability to think independently and work without close supervision
- Excellent English skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to learn on the job
- Willingness to do any job, no matter how trivial or daunting
- BA/BS

This is a full time position in Berkeley, CA.

Salary is negotiable based on prior experience and education. Bepress
