Description Position: Office Administrator/ Bookkeeper

Duties include primary responsibility for monthly client billing and collections, accounts receivable and accounts payable. This REQUIRES extensive expertise in Quick Books, Microsoft Access (for proprietary billing system management and operation) and Excel as well as a firm understanding of general accounting principals. Prior patent law firm experience is a plus. Other duties include: IS management (general understanding of multi-platform computer systems is required for the position), recruiting, health benefits administration, payroll, MCLE administration, vendor negotiations, supply orders, insurance research (particularly for obtaining malpractice insurance), client contact, financial reporting, 401K administration, event planning and various other duties as needed to assist the Managing Director.

A four-year college degree (preferably in accounting or a related relevant discipline) is required, as well as atleast 5 years experience in bookkeeping, extensive general understanding of computer systems, knowlwdge of GAAP and previous office management.
