JOB DESCRIPTION:

Laguna Honda Hospital’s Occupational Therapy Department is accepting applications for as needed positions in class 2548 Occupational Therapist. Laguna Honda Hospital is a large, 1,200 bed skilled nursing facility with acute, medical, and rehabilitation services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Under general supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapist performs the following essential job functions: plans, evaluates, and implements appropriate occupational therapy treatment and rehabilitation in acute rehabilitation, SNF rehabilitation and long-term care setting; and performs other related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current licensure as a certified Occupational Therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) (a photocopy must be submitted with the application); OR
2. Acceptance by the California Board of Occupational Therapy for the next examination (a photocopy of the letter or limited permit must be submitted at the time of filing).

Verification/Waiver: Verification of qualifying experience, education, and/or training is required at the time of filing. Candidates unable to do so may submit a letter requesting a waiver of this requirement indicating the reason(s) verification cannot be obtained. Failure to submit verification or request for waiver will result in application rejection.
